Sorry I did not mean to shock you with the title. Yet as another blast of a suicide bomber kills many at a funeral......I think our Pakistani friends need some common sense. The days of blaming Hindu separatists for these bombings has drifted into the reality it is fanatical and radical elements of Islam not the Hindus. Here it is not even the difference of a generation of Mohammad otherwise known as Shi'a verses Sunni. Here it is tribal or Al -Queda or Taliban influenced bombers. When will the moderate majority say enough is enough and stop providing safe havens for these terrorists? 


       Sure it is much easier to say, "I didn't know anyone at the funeral or at the market or at the police station or mosque that was bombed. It is easy to feel sad and move on. Remember the old expression " Give them an inch and they will take a mile" ? Pakistan is living that expression in today's world. Sure most in Pakistan condemn terrorism, but still residents turn a blind eye when they see unusual traffic in their neighborhood. Every one in these tribal regions knows who and where the terrorists are, yet they are afraid. Terrorists threaten to torture families of those who talk. How about something as simple as an anonymous tip line, where the people can at least call?  I looked on the web ...I could not find one, perhaps it is the Government who is dropping the ball.

      It is the same as litter, you can be part of the problem or part of the solution. Turning a blind eye just emblazons these terrorists, each success brings more disillusioned recruits and influences younger and younger impressionable ones. It is just a matter of time before it happens in your neighborhood or at your mosque or to one you love. Then what to do? blame it on Karma? Continue to turn a blind eye and hope for the best? 



     Pick up the phone, send an email, write a letter, send a text, be part of the solution rather than the problem. The solution starts with YOU not somebody else.

Saudi Anti-Terror Hotline
Dial 990: Cash Paid over for Information in Two Hours

The Saudi authorities, alarmed by the swarms of al Qaeda agents and terrorists descending on the kingdom, opened an anti-terror hotline in the middle of the week. Callers with information were told to simply dial 990 from anywhere in the kingdom. If their confidential tips on the whereabouts of al Qaeda members, plots in the planning or weapons caches checked out, they could claim a large cash reward – payable within two hours of a suspect being nabbed.
To spread the word and dangle the promised prize to all and sundry, leaflets were circulated around villages and cities.
The stunt was an instant success. DEBKA-Net-Weekly's counter-terrorism experts quote Saudi officials who claim to have paid out one million riyals ($260,000) to hotline tipsters in three days.

They do have the website though and a regular telephone number.....
